We have 2 staffy's. One a male 4 years old and a female 12 months old. The male constantly escaped which meant numerous visits and fines from the dog catcher and the fear that the dog may get run over or attacked by dingoes. We built our fence approx 6 foot high and lined it with black plastic so the dog could not see out however he continued to escape buy climbing the fence. After only 3 days, yes 3, of wearing the [Dog Control] collar our dog no longer tries to escape and is content to stay in the yard. We have removed the collar but will use it again if he "forgets" and may need to train our female once she is old enough to jump the fence. |
